There’s nothing more humbling and inspiring than traveling to unknown places. I have already traveled to Italy many times but this was my very first time in Sicily, Palermo. And this city nailed it!!! It’s a unique destination which united various cultural influences with a rich history. Palermo offered a very special vibe and energy I have never experienced elsewhere before. These last two weeks we were really working on the business and not in the business! We just enjoyed shooting the city scape and kept the outfit shoots pretty editorial. As you guys might have seen I kept my media presence to a minimum, to give myself time just to relax & to integrate myself into the heartbeat of this city.
Born and raised in a pretty small town always gave me a motivation to dream big. It seemed pretty surreal but I’ve always dreamt of glamorous life in a big city with multicultural vibes. That is maybe one of the reasons that made my wanderlust always grow and become bigger with every single journey I made.
During our stay in Palermo we explored the city to the fullest, chilled in our super chic and cozy hotel and gave our minds the creative freedom to think about the upcoming stuff. I also got a great opportunity to learn an incredibly talented guy Giorgio Rowley (you just !MUST! check out his Youtube channel) and was blown away with his creative work! You can best see Palermo in all its beauty from his incredible short film TimeLapse / Hyperlapse of Palermo.
We had an awesome dinner with our new acquaintances in the downtown (trying out some delish sicilian street food = RIP Diet), which is also a nice area to check out.
In this post I just wanna show you guys some moody shots we took while exploring the sights just to feel the area. I made a lot of great memories and you will see loads of Sicily posts coming in the next days.
I have definitely promised myself coming back there in the nearest future!
